Travelers, history buffs and locals visit Fort Morgan and Fort Gaines to look back on the Battle of Mobile Bay. Those visiting the forts may stumble upon a demonstration of the weapons used during the conflict. They may use scholarly interpretation presented by both forts to learn the importance of the battle. Today the peaceful shore of Mobile Bay conceals a more turbulent time in Alabama history.
