The track’s radical design has brought thousands of major motorsports events to Birmingham including, The Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series, MotoAmerica, and the Indy Car Grand Prix of Alabama. The automotive governing body of the EU, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, has also nominated the track as an FIA Grade Two circuit, granting the circuit testing privileges for the Formula One racing series. Barber’s narrow width track generates exhilarating racing leading to critical acclaim within the motorsport’s world. Despite the track being a centerpiece of the park, Barber has added many other amenities. Unveiled In 2014, the Barber Proving Ground features a 14-acre track with multiple configurations, a wet/dry skid pad, and more. This section of the park hosts numerous driving education courses, product unveils, and vehicle testing. Barber also features numerous other courses including a ¾ mile vintage motocross circuit, a 50-acre off-road track, and an obstacle course.
Both the Barber Vintage Motorsports Park and Museum serve as icons of the automotive racing world. They host some of the most recognizable vehicles and events in the world. Their existence attracts millions of tourists to Birmingham to witness the campus’s unique aura. As time goes on, the reputation of The Barber Motorsports campus will continue to grow. Alabama’s Barber Motorsports Park and Museum will forever be a hallmark location for all motorsports enthusiasts throughout the country.
