Rebecca Todd Minder

Rebecca Todd Minder began her career at Alabama Heritage in 2012 as the Digital Media Editor and soon became Marketing Manager before being appointed Director in 2021. She oversees the administrative personnel and manages the Friends of Alabama Heritage Board of Directors. Rebecca also manages fundraising efforts and relationship-building, ensuring the magazine’s solid future with strong statewide partnerships. Rebecca earned a Master of Arts degree in American studies with a focus on Southern popular culture and a Bachelor of Arts in public relations, both from The University of Alabama.

Before joining Alabama Heritage, Rebecca was the publicist for The University of Alabama Press, and a managing editor at Randall-Reilly Publishing for two of its construction industry magazines, where she won several awards. She serves on the executive board of the Tuscaloosa Civil Rights History & Reconciliation Foundation, is a board member for the Alabama Historical Association, a member organization representative for the Arts & Humanities Council of Tuscaloosa, is past president of the Public Relations Council of West Alabama, and serves on the inaugural DCH Regional Medical Center Patient and Family Advocacy Council (PFAC). Rebecca is a 2018 graduate of Leadership Tuscaloosa and served on the 2019 Tuscaloosa Bicentennial Time Capsule Committee.
