Katharine Armbrester graduated from the MFA creative writing program at the Mississippi University for Women in 2022 with a focus on playwriting. She was an editorial assistant for Alabama Heritage magazine from 2022-2023, and is now a freelance reporter for Starnes Media, covering the greater Birmingham area. Currently, she reviews contemporary literature for the Southern Review of Books and is a contributing writer to the Literary Ladies Guide, an archive dedicated to classic women authors. She has been published in Alabama magazine, the Birmingham Arts Journal, and the Vulcan Review.
