Cassandra Nelson has been with Alabama Heritage since 2013, starting as an intern and becoming a proofreader. She earned her BA and MA in English from the University of Alabama. She is a native of Tuscaloosa County and a lover of southern literature and history. Additional editorial and proofreading experience includes ten years at Randall-Reilly, where she helped produce reference guides for the trucking and construction industries, and current work at the Geological Survey of Alabama.
