(An Alabama-Mississippi Bicentennial Conference)

WHAT IS THIS CONFERENCE ABOUT? This FREE conference features your choice among 10 lecture workshops covering a variety of topics including DNA analysis, photograph analysis, research power tools, Alabama and Mississippi archival sources, slave research, getting started, getting organized, and avoiding pitfalls. The main conference track is geared toward intermediate-level genealogists, with several concurrent programs offered for beginners and one for those working on the genealogy of enslaved populations. A free sandwich lunch will be included. A bookseller, a silhouette artist, and other groups will be exhibiting throughout the day. And don’t forget the door prizes! We’ll be drawing for great prizes all day!

WHEN IS IT? Saturday, August 26, 2017; coffee and exhibits begin at 9:00 a.m.; seminars will be held between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
